The Swedish explorer is set to spin the drillbit on a second appraisal, dubbed 16/4-8, targeting the central part of the structure in its operated production licence 359 in the second quarter after missing the mark with an initial delineation well.
Lundin also has on its radar screen a further exploration well to be drilled in the third quarter at the Luno 2 North/Fignon prospect in the same licence that aims to prove up additional resources of around 46 million barrels of oil equivalent to add to the find’s current gross contingent resources estimate of between 26 million and 121 million boe.
