The inspections will take place on Wednesday and are expected to contribute to a collective decision with both the rig owner Ensco and operator Anadarko Petroleum as to how best to repair the damage and stop the flow of water into the ballast tank.
Anadarko spokesman John Christiansen told Upstream the damage amounted to little more than a “couple of small punctures”.
