The Danish deep-water specialist currently has 15 vessels working in-country, a numberexpected to grow to 18 by December and at least 25 by the end of the decade, Brazil's ValorEconomico business newspaper reported.
"We're looking and making quotes in the Brazilian market," the newspaper quoted Viggo Andersen, director of the company's local supply unit, as saying.
He predicted that prices for complex service ships like anchor handling towing supply vessels, now 25% to 30% more expensive to build in Brazil, would drop in the medium term as shipyard construction plans progressed.
