Construction on the topsides for the central processing platform has been completed and the offshore structure will be loaded out later this month from SMOE’s fabrication yard in Batam, Indonesia.
The 8300-tonne topsides was the largest offshore structure fabricated so far at the Batam yard since SMOE took over the yard ownership in November 2003.
Italy’s Saipem will undertake the installation of the offshore structure over a jacket fabricated by the Indonesian unit of Japan’s Nippon Steel.
