Unveiling its newly-designed Commander 1000 and associated wireless remote control system at the 2012 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, the global oilfield giant said it is streamlining its system to increase safety and eliminate inconsistencies in operations.
“In many operations there’s frequent starts and stops of circulating well bore fluids over the course of the entire operations. … We need to stop that and have a more smooth and straightforward approach to the circulation process,” said Hank Rogers, global technical advisor for cementing casing equipment.
