The company also said it will cold stack intervention vessel H534, which had previously been warm stacked.
In a quarterly conference call with analysts last month, Helix chief financial officer Anthony Tripodo said the company "presently" plans to not to take delivery of the Q7000 "until the end of 2018".
The vessel is currently under construction in Singapore, with a planned completion date at the end of 2017.
