Danish owner Maersk Supply Service has sold a pair of vessels from its shrinking fleet as part of its plans to adapt to limited trading opportunities.

Maersk said on Wednesday it sold the anchor handles tug supply (AHTS) vessels Maersk Seeker and Maersk Supplier, both units that joined the fleet in the late 1990s.

The sale, with an undisclosed value, is part of Maersk’s plans announced earlier this year to reduce its fleet by up to 20 vessels over a period of 18 months.
