The wellhead platform for the Besar-A project on the Besar gas field was loaded out in the third quarter, the fabricator said.
The development of Besar calls for two wellhead platforms – Besar-A and Besar-B – to be installed in phases in 70 metres of water. Gas from the Besar field is scheduled to flow in 2017 and will be handled by the existing high compressor on the Angsi host, before its final diversion to a lower pressure compressor in 2018 or 2019.
