The US contractor will carry out construction of a new platform and two bridges with a total weight of 3300 tonnes, as well as modifications at the existing field complex, under the amended deal with Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), a partnership between state oil companies Saudi Aramco and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
Work on the brownfield project is expected to be executed in the second quarter of 2017, with fabrication to be carried out at McDermott’s Jebel Ali facility in Dubai and subsequent installation of infrastructure by its vessels.
