The head of the project Robert Kelly told reporters the group, co-led by Statoil, planned to sell more gas to Azerbaijan in 2006-2008.
The field's reserves were previously estimated at 625 billion cubic metres of gas. Kelly said higher reserves would allow the group to launch output in 2006 at 2.2 to 2.25 Bcm a year instead of the planned 2 Bcm, rising to 6 Bcm instead of 5 Bcm in 2008.
