Brunei Shell Petroleum is spending $202.5 million on four years with the Offshore Defender beginning in the second quarter, Oslo-listed Seadrill said on Monday.
With $9 million of mobilisation and modification work included, this equates to a dayrate of around $133,600 for the rig which is currently on charter to Petrobras of Brazil at $131,000 a day.
