Pre-front-end engineering and design work on the FPSO could start before the end of the year as BP also considers a “design one, build two” model in which the same concept is used for Tiber and possibly Gila.
Much of the early design work on the FPSO has been carried out within BP, but the UK supermajor is now expected to reach out to conceptual engineering companies to compute and validate the details.
