The duo have drilled at least one sidetrack appraisal off of the discovery well in Keathley Canyon Block 292.
A 12-mile (19-kilometre) step out well on the nine-block, 52,000-acre (210-square kilometre) Kaskida unit was drilled during 2007.
Mechanical problems on the well prevented it from reaching its targeted depth of 33,000 feet. The block 244 probe was subsequently abandoned.
"Kaskida, because of the size of it, is going to require quite a bit of appraisal drilling and we're just getting ready to determine what our next appraisal well is going to be," said Devon president John Richels.
"We're
