Bhit, located 180 kilometres north of Karachi, is producing from six wells, and gas is being exported via the Indus Right Bank pipeline.
Output is expected to reach a plateau of 235 million cubic feet per day this year while peak production is slated to reach 270 MMcfd.
State-owned gas transmission company Sui Southern has a 20-year take-or-pay contract to purchase 1 trillion cubic feet of gas from Bhit, which came on stream earlier this year.
