Marco Polo was subsequently shut down and production halted, and remains so.
The facility was producing about 12,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, net to Anadarko, at the time it was shut in.
Before the incident Anadarko said it had average sales volumes of more than 98,000 boepd from the Gulf of Mexico during the first quarter this year.
At the time it was installed in 2004, the Marco Polo TLP had a process capacity of 120,000 bpd oil and 400 million cubic feet of gas per day.
