Hydrocarbons production in Brazil soared in July to a new record, as state-controlled company Petrobras added new wells to platforms in the Buzios and Lula pre-salt fields.

Output increased 9.1% in July to 3.556 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, compared with 3.257 million boepd in June.
