The A$800 million project is an integral part of the expansion of the North West Shelf Venture's gas production and liquefaction facilities, including the construction of a fourth liquefied natural gas processing train and associated infrastructure on the Burrup Peninsula.
Sources said the winning joint venture had elbowed out Saipem for the big job, although the Italians were not left empty-handed, having already landed the contract to install the North West Shelf Venture's second pipeline, which will transport gas to the new train.
Another
