EnCryo, which has an operating office in Houston, is a 50:50 joint venture between US refrigeration specialist Salof Companies and China’s Maison.
Sources said talks have been ongoing for some time, with the focus currently on price.
“They have completed the paperwork, though the final contract is yet to be completed,” said one source. WorleyParsons is understood to have worked with EnCryo already, by sub-contracting some of its LNG engineering and construction projects outside China.
